Estas normas, aplicadas por el Comisionado Laboral de California, se derivan principalmente del C\u00f3digo Laboral de California y de las \u00d3rdenes Salariales de la Comisi\u00f3n de Bienestar Industrial (IWC). <\/p><p>Normas sobre las pausas para comer (C\u00f3digo Laboral \u00a7 512):<\/p><ul><li>Los empleados que trabajen m\u00e1s de 5 horas al d\u00eda deben recibir una pausa para comer de 30 minutos, no remunerada y fuera de servicio, que comience antes del final de la quinta hora de trabajo.<\/li><li>Se requiere una segunda pausa para comer de 30 minutos para los turnos que superen las 10 horas, que comience antes del final de la d\u00e9cima hora.<\/li><li>Durante las pausas para comer, los empleados deben estar completamente libres de sus obligaciones y ser libres de abandonar el lugar de trabajo.
